Well this is it the start of a forum where you can post info or ask questions about your shabby lifestyle. First off we both enjoy the hunt for those special finds and the excitement of when we score that diamond in the rough. Have you ever had one of those jaw dropping moments when you get that item home and research it and can't believe you scored such a buy? Then post it here.

We had one last weekend when at a estate sale Gene picked up a old cast iron bed. He first asked the price and they quoted less than it was tagged. We started to leave but we talked and knew we did not need another bed but thought it would be nice buy to pass on to others. When researching we couldn't believe what these things are worth and realized its not always what we need or want but what it could be.
